I know I have been a bad blogger as of late, but it happens. Between Christmas and my husband actually being in town this week we have been busy. I have been spending time getting many waaaaaaay over due things done and getting some much needed rest.
I have been putting in some miles the last two weeks, not as many as I should have, but I am getting them done. I did 6 on Christmas day after all the present opening, despite being tired. (that's what happens when you wait till Christmas Eve to wrap presents. Oops!)
I'm starting to get nervous and excited about my first half marathon on Saturday. I don't feel as prepared as I felt a couple of weeks ago, but I know it is because I haven't been getting in all my runs due to Christmas. At least I know that I will be well rested :).
I have two more small runs planned for the week. Hopefully they will go well and I will feel better going into the race Saturday morning.
I do have two goals for the race: 1. Finish under 2 hours and 30 minutes. 2. Run the whole race.
Ultimately, just finishing the race (before they kicked me off the course) would be awesome, because I will have run my first half marathon before my youngest is 5 months old.
