I haven't been able to run since my 7 miles on Saturday. It rained and snowed all day Sunday. Monday was a busy and crazy day, so despite my husbands flight getting cancelled and him being home, I didn't get to run. Today was too cold for me to have my kids out and in the stroller, especially my 5 month old. The high was only 35 and the wind chill made it worse. I love this weather to run in, but I am not hard core enough to put my boys out in it. Especially when one gets sick, they all get sick. So no treadmill or gym membership, means no running. The rest of the week isn't looking much better. I am hoping my dad will watch the boys Thursday so I can go run. Thus I am a little bit grumpier than normal. (Sorry boys.)
I did however find a bright side to not getting to run this morning. Thing 2 and I were able to play for a while, just the two of us, while Thing 1 was at preschool and Thing 3 took a nap. Usually I spend an hour of that time running and taking a shower, I don't usually get a really long time to spend playing.
30 day Challenge:
Food Journal:
Monday2 Eggs with mushrooms, green bell peppers, red bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes.
1/2 cup easy black beans & rice2 French breakfast puffs2 creamy baked turkey taquitos with guacamole
Tuesday1/2 cup Oatmeal
2 French breakfast puffs (the boys begged to make a second batch)
Veggiedilla with almost no cheese
Chicken with stuffing casserole
1/2 cup applesauce
I am really trying to not eat too much this week since I haven't and wont' be getting my usual runs (or walks in for that matter).
I would also like to report that I have been able to get 10 minutes of ab work in the last two days. It has been spread out over the whole day, since Thing 2 would rather me hold him than do ab work. Gotta love that boy.
I have some ideas on how to get some cardio work in that I am going to try out tonight once the boys are all asleep. I will let you know what I come up with!
This Mommy Runs (usually)
I know all the well the dread of even one child getting sick. Before you know it, you've got a household full of sick people at different stages of the same illness!
ReplyDeleteGood luck getting a run in tomorrow!
